These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the website altindia.co and all associated services, courses, and content provided by AltIndia Global Careers Private Limited(“Alt India”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).

By creating an account or enrolling in any course, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use our services. By agreeing to these Terms, you represent that you meet this requirement. Our services are currently offered to residents of India.

3. Account Registration

• You must provide accurate, current, and complete information when creating your account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
• You agree to notify us immediately at admin@altindia.co if you suspect any unauthorised access to your account.
• One account per person. You may not share your account with others or allow others to access course content using your credentials.

4. Course Enrolment and Access

• Upon successful payment, you are granted a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to access the course content for your own learning.
• Course access is provided on a lifetime basis unless stated otherwise in the course listing, subject to the platform remaining operational.
• You may not share, distribute, resell, or sublicense course content to any third party.
• We reserve the right to update, modify, or remove course content at any time to ensure quality and accuracy.

5. Payment and Pricing

• All prices are in Indian Rupees (INR) and inclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.
• Payments are processed securely by Razorpay. We do not store your card or UPI details.
• Course prices may change at any time. The price at the time of your purchase will apply to that transaction.
• In the event of a payment failure, your enrolment will not be activated. Contact us if you are charged without receiving access.

6. Refund Policy

We offer a 7-day refund policy from the date of purchase, provided you have accessed less than 20% of the course content. To request a refund, email admin@altindia.co with your order details. Approved refunds are processed within 7–10 business days to the original payment method.

No refunds will be issued after 7 days or if you have accessed more than 20% of the course, downloaded any resources, or received your certificate.

7. Certificates

• Certificates are issued upon successful completion of all required lessons and projects as defined in each course.
• Certificates are digital and issued in your name. They are not transferable.
• Alt India certificates are proprietary credentials issued by AltIndia Global Careers Private Limited and are not affiliated with any government body or university unless explicitly stated.

8. Intellectual Property

All course content, videos, text, graphics, AI feedback, and other materials on the platform are the exclusive intellectual property of AltIndia Global Careers Private Limited or its licensors and are protected under Indian copyright law.

You may not reproduce, distribute, create derivative works from, publicly display, or commercially exploit any content without our prior written consent.

9. AI-Generated Feedback

Our platform uses AI (powered by Anthropic's Claude) to generate feedback on project submissions. This feedback is educational and informational in nature. It does not constitute professional advice and may not be perfectly accurate. You are responsible for independently verifying any feedback before acting on it.

10. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• Share your account credentials or course access with any other person.
• Record, screen-capture, or distribute any course videos or materials.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract content from the platform using automated tools.
• Upload, post, or submit content that is unlawful, harmful, defamatory, or infringing on any third-party rights.
• Use the platform for any commercial purpose without our prior written consent.
• Impersonate any person or misrepresent your affiliation with any entity.

Violation of these rules may result in immediate account suspension or termination without refund.

11. Disclaimers

Our services are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that:

• The platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses.
• Completing a course will result in employment or any specific career outcome.
• AI feedback will be free of errors or suitable for your specific situation.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable Indian law, Alt India shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of our services. Our total liability to you for any claim arising under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific course giving rise to the claim.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violations of these Terms, with or without notice. You may close your account at any time by contacting us. Termination does not entitle you to a refund unless it occurs within the refund window described in Section 6.

14. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall first be attempted to be resolved amicably. If unresolved within 30 days, disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email at least 7 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the platform after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
